Sharper Shears & Knives is run by Rick Myers, a retired union man with over 30 years dedicated to the trades. He knows the importance of having quality tools to get the job done right.
After retirement, Rick developed a passion for the art and science of salon shear sharpening. He trained with the best in the country and has learned techniques that are second-to-none. There is no better satisfaction than to restore a pair of shears back to perfection.
Shears are not the only tools he knows how to sharpen. He also learned the art of sharpening knives. If you’re a chef, hunter, fisherman, camper, or just love to cook at home, you know the importance of keeping your knives sharp. A sharp knife is a safe knife.
Shears
Rick offers on-site shear sharpening and restoration services at your convenience. He’ll even lend you a pair while he sharpens so you’ll never miss a beat! Rick services salons, pet groomers, upholstery shops, and tailors.
Knives
Rick handles all sorts of knives as well, applying the same standards of precision and impeccable detail as he does to shears. His goal is always to extend the lifespan of the knife by combining perfect edge work with minimal removal of steel.
